A private place to speak about what is happening and ask questions before deciding.
Hello, I'm Mark. I offer counselling and life coaching for people who want a private place to talk, reflect, and work through what feels difficult.
Sessions are available online, in person, or by phone. You can send a short message, ask a practical question, or call when you feel ready.
Hi, I’m Mark Palmer, an integrative counsellor with a person-centred core approach. I believe that feeling truly heard, understood, and accepted can help people begin to make sense of what they are carrying.
My journey into counselling began through my own experiences with mental health struggles, which gave me a deeper understanding of how important it is to have a safe and supportive space to talk openly without judgement. That experience continues to shape the way I work with clients today - with empathy, honesty, and compassion.
I offer a calm, professional, and approachable environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels manageable. As an integrative counsellor, I adapt the work to the person in front of me rather than using one fixed way of working.
I have three years of counselling experience, I am ASIST trained, and as someone who is also ADHD diagnosed, I bring both professional training and lived understanding to my work with neurodiversity and mental health challenges.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or simply looking for support, I aim to provide a space where you feel respected, supported, and able to be yourself.
The first step can be a simple enquiry. You might know exactly what you want to talk about, or you might only know that something feels hard to carry on your own.
Counselling can be a place to slow things down, hear yourself more clearly, and notice what has been affecting your day-to-day life. Life coaching can also support practical reflection around choices, goals, and next steps.

Conversation can begin with what feels most present, without pressure to explain everything at once.
Sessions can include reflection, practical next steps, and space to understand what matters now.
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You can also get in touch if what you are facing is not listed here.
You can email or phone Mark with a brief message, a question, or what you would like to talk about. Fees are discussed during consultation so the options are clear before you decide.

Had done therapy previously and was hesitant about starting again with a new therapist but Mark made me feel very comfortable straight off the bat. Can't recommend enough.
Mark is incredibly easy to speak to and supportive, he helps you see things in totally different ways when you truly need it. Highly recommended.
Mark is an extremely nice guy, very professional, but has a warm personality that I am comfortable opening up to him. I was very sceptic about therapy, but he has made the entry to it very easy, and on top of our scheduled meetings, he is more than happy to talk on the chat page and replies in good time. Would strongly recommend him.
Mark is a warm, professional therapist who strikes the perfect balance between challenging me when I need it and giving me space to reflect. He's compassionate and thoughtful in his approach, and our sessions are not just productive - they're often genuinely enjoyable. Mark has a unique way of helping me connect the dots in my life that I've overlooked for years.
His guidance is broad enough to give me room to explore, yet precise enough to lead to real solutions. His caring, curious, and open style has helped me work on things I didn't even realise needed attention.
Mark's active listening skills are exceptional, and I always leave feeling truly heard. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking a kind, experienced, and authentic therapist.
Mark has changed my life. Simple as that. He is a person I trust, I feel he genuinely cares about me, and yet has a way to challenge me and my own emotions.
A genuine, open, honest person, who now knows more about me than any person in the world, and I take comfort in that.
Mark is honestly a star. I was very nervous about coming to therapy as I didn't fully know what to expect but Mark made me feel relaxed right from the word go. He is very patient, friendly, relaxing and very professional. I can't thank BetterHelp enough for pairing me to Mark as my Therapist.
